2013

April showers bring May flowers. It’s what gardeners and weather forecasters across the Pacific Northwest hope for as spring hits its stride from Eugene to Boise to Bellingham.

Aside from the rain, the fourth month of the year also celebrates the important job pest management professionals across the United States perform by protecting our food supply, houses and offices, and families from harmful and destructive pests.

April is National Pest Management Month and the Sprague Pest Experts are popping the cork on some Washington state sparkling grape juice (what did you expect we were doing in the office?) to celebrate the important services we deliver in protecting public health and property.

Every day we partner with our commercial and residential customers who have experienced an unwanted encounter with furry or flying pest visitor to their home or business. Preventing and eliminating harmful – not to mention annoying – pests is what our business was founded on in 1926 and is a duty we proudly carry on today.

Our clients are some of the most discriminating brand names in food processing, hospitality, healthcare, education and food service in the region, as well as some of the most important addresses in your neighborhood.

Join the Sprague Pest Experts as we celebrate our 15 minutes (actually 30 days) of fame for the vital services our industry provides for clients across the United States 365/24-7.

New Digs In Portland

The Sprague Pest Experts are enjoying the spacious new digs of our Portland, Oregon service center. Sprague has been servicing commercial and residential customers in the Oregon market since the early 1990s and is proud to call The City of Roses one of our second homes.

The new facility features a 40-seat training center for our numerous continuing education and training sessions, as well as extensive space to perform important fumigation treatments.

The Oregon agriculture market is a vibrant one, especially when it comes to prized Oregon turfgrass seed. The seed and other agriculture products often need to be fumigated for pests such as mice before they are shipped across the country or around the globe to be converted into finished food products that end up on your kitchen table or planted in your front yard,.

Our new service center includes 1,280 cubic foot fumigation and heat chamber – perfect for eliminating bed bugs in furniture – and a secured, on-site lot for fumigating farm equipment, buses and trailers up to 53 feet long!

Watch out Oregon pests – the Sprague Pest Experts are coming for you!

Ratpocalypse Is Coming

You know it is coming. You know the day is near. The day when the digging starts, and rodents and other nasty pests start forwarding their mail to a new, less noisy address in downtown Seattle. The Seattle Highway 99 tunnel project, scheduled to being in earnest this summer when Bertha, the massive boring machine starts churning her way underneath downtown and stirring up rodent and pest activity in her wake.

Visit our special Seattle Tunnel page for more information on how this massive construction project is impacting pest activity in downtown Seattle. You can also meet Sven, our resident Norway rat, who always has something interesting to say about his looming encounter with Bertha on his Twitter account @Ratpocalypse.

If you have an issue with pests invading your living or working space, send us an e-mail at info@spraguepest.com. We’ll be happy to get back with you with more information on how to maintain a pest-free environment.

Sincerely

The Sprague Pest Experts
