Is your facility prepared for FSMA? The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies recently conducted a survey of food industry professionals on their level of FSMA preparedness and here is what they discovered.

When asked about their level of preparedness for the recently enacted FSMA mandates, food industry professionals that were surveyed indicated they were:

58% – Extremely Prepared

30% – Somewhat Prepared

12% – Not Prepared

When asked what are the most significant challenges brought on by FSMA mandates, food industry respondents listed the following:

58% – Documentation

42% – Clarifying Requirements

26% – Determining Relevance

16% – Knowing Deadlines
