Family Business Magazine has recognized Ross Treleven, chief executive officer and president of Sprague Pest Solutions, as one of its “CEO’s to Watch” in 2025. The annual list honors 20 leaders shaping the future of family enterprises by cultivating strong corporate cultures, strengthening governance, and mentoring the next generation of business leaders.
Ross, the first member of fourth generation to join the family-owned company founded in 1926, has spent his career immersed in every facet of the business. Since joining Sprague in 1998, he has advanced from technician to sales, branch management, and senior leadership roles, giving him a comprehensive understanding of the company’s operations and values. Today, three other members of the fourth generation also contribute to the organization, continuing the family’s heritage.
Treleven guided Sprague through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, balancing the needs of clients in food service and hospitality with the strict regulatory requirements of healthcare and food manufacturing. Now, as Sprague approaches its 100th anniversary in 2026, he is steering the company towards this milestone while continuing its legacy of innovation and service excellence.
“Being recognized among such incredible leaders is humbling,” said Ross Treleven. “As we look toward our 100th anniversary, I’m filled with gratitude: for my family’s legacy, for our team’s dedication, and for the trust our clients place in us every day.”
Under his leadership, Sprague has nearly doubled its workforce, achieved double-digit growth, and earned national and regional recognition including USA Today’s National Top Workplaces (2024, 2025) and South Sound Business’ Best Large Business (2024) awards.
Outside of his leadership at Sprague, Treleven is committed to his community. He serves on the board of the MultiCare Foundation, and actively volunteers with Degrees of Change and the Annie Wright Schools’ Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee in Tacoma, Washington.
