Sprague Awards Scholarships to Two Inspiring Washington Students

Sprague Pest Solutions has named Jaden Jennings from Lake Stevens, WA and Bella Simpson from Tacoma, WA as recipients of the 2025 Sprague Scholarship Program. Now in its fifth year, the selection committee received a record number of applicants, making the selection process especially competitive.

Jaden Jennings, a student at Western Washington University, is the son of Marysville team member Gary Jennings. With this award, Jennings becomes the first recipient to receive a scholarship two years in a row. He is a dedicated student athlete, splitting his time between wrestling meets and mentoring high school wrestlers in his community.  Jennings has dedicated many hours to supporting the Lake Stevens Aquafest event and participating in his local Kiwanis Club. He aspires to earn a Ph.D. and purse a career in physical therapy.

Bella Simpson, a student at Tacoma Community College, is the daughter of Bellevue team member Travis Simpson. She credits her selection as Fife High School’s Daffodil Princess as one of her greatest accomplishments. During her tenure, she completed over 300 hours of community service including reading to children at public libraries, packaging food at local food banks, and showing comfort to those receiving care at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital. She plans to attend community college and discover what new opportunities await her.

“Each year we are blown away by the passion, perseverance, and ambition of all applicants.” Said Leila Starwich, Director of People Operations, and member of the selection committee. “We are proud to support their journeys and celebrate their drive to pursue their degrees.”

Created in 2021, the Sprague Scholarship Program reflects the company’s commitment to education and investing in the future of people and our communities.
