Three Sprague Leaders Earn Industry Certifications

Three Sprague Pest Solutions leaders have achieved major professional milestones. Jared Wallace, Regional Manager and Gary Mitchell, Branch Manager in Yakima, WA have earned their Associate Certified Entomologist (ACE) credentials while Jeremy Hundley, BCE, Regional Entomologist has become one of only 23 professionals worldwide to earn the NPMA Pro Certification.

The ACE certification, awarded by the Entomologist Society of America (ESA), recognizes advanced professional knowledge in pest management. With Wallace and Mitchell’s achievements, Sprague boasts 41 ACE-certified professionals and five Board Certified Entomologists across its operations.  Notably, half of Sprague’s senior leadership team hold their ACE credentials, and 10 team members have earned their ACE or BCE in 2025.

The NPMA Pro Certification, established by the National Pest Management Association, is the industry’s first credential recognizing individuals who demonstrated excellence, technical expertise, and a commitment to best practices.

Wallace began his career in 2002 as a Route Manager and quickly advanced through leadership roles, becoming Branch Manager in 2005, District Manager in 2013, and later Regional Manager in 2015. Mitchell joined Sprague in 2007, became Operations Manager in 2015, and Branch Manager in 2021.

Hundley joined Sprague in 2017 and has managed some of the company’s most complex accounts. Promoted to Regional Entomologist in 2025, he provides technical leadership and training across Sprague’s service footprint.  He earned the Bob Treleven Technician of the Year in 2023 and has been consistently recognized among Sprague’s Top 10% Technicians from 2018-2024.

“Sprague’s success comes down to the passion and expertise of our people,” said Shane Hartnett, ACE, Director of Operations. “Seeing Jared, Gary, and Jeremy reach these milestones makes me proud, not just of their achievements, but of the culture of continuous learning and excellence we have built together.”
