At Sprague, protecting public health food safety, and our communities is not just what we do. It is who we are.
The Day of Giving is our opportunity to take that commitment beyond our daily service work and invest directly in the communities where we serve. Each branch cross our footprint is encouraged to plan and participate in a meaningful philanthropic effort that reflects Sprague’s mission and values.
To amplify the impact of your volunteer efforts, Sprague will also provide a donation to the selected organization, further supporting the cause and extending our reach.
This is more than a volunteer day. It is a chance to show up as one unified team and make a tangible different where we live and work.
Our Focus Area
When planning your branch’s Day of Giving, please align your activity with one or more of the following impact areas:
- Public Health
- Food Safety
- Environmental Stewardship
- Community Protection

Examples of Day of Giving Activities
Branches have flexibility to choose an activity that best fits their local community. Here are a few examples to spark ideas:
- Volunteering time at a local food bank.
- Habitat clean-up and pest exclusion projects.
- Volunteering with Boys and Girls Clubs or similar nonprofit organizations.
Whether your team chooses to support a nonprofit partner, improve a community space, or contribute materials to a meaningful cause, the goal is the same. Make a positive, lasting impact.
The Process
To ensure coordination and alignment:
- Each branch must submit a Day of Giving request form.
- A review committee will evaluate and approve all submissions prior to the event.
- After your event, branches need to send photos to the Marketing team so we can highlight your impact across the company.
Please submit your request early to allow adequate time for review and planning.

Budget Guidelines
Each branch is allocated a Day of Giving budget based on 2025 financials:
$250 per $1M in revenue.
Examples:
- A $2M branch = $500 budget
- A $2.4M branch = $500 budget
Budgets will be rounded up at $0.5M increments or greater. For example: $2.5M branch = $750 budget
Important: Funds will be applied directly to the philanthropic mission. This includes donations or materials that directly support the cause.

Branded team t-shirts are available for your volunteer day through the Sprague Storefront.
Please note:
- Shirt costs will be charged to your branch budget.
- They will not be deducted from your Day of Giving donation allocation.
- These t-shirts are not approved for use in the field as part of the Sprague uniform. They are intended for use during your volunteer day only.
