Ross Treleven has been named Chairman of the Board of Sprague Pest Solutions, adding the title to his existing role as CEO and President. The appointment closes a transition nearly a century in the making. From Sprague’s founding in 1926, through three generations of Treleven leadership, to a fourth generation now entrusted with the company’s executive leadership.
Ross joined Sprague in 2000 as the first member of the company’s fourth generation, working his way from technician to sales to management before taking over as President in 2021 and CEO in 2024. Two years later, he now succeeds his uncle, Alfred “Alfie” H. Treleven III, as Chairman. The same Alfie who spent 43 years as CEO before stepping back in 2024.
“I’ve been preparing for this my whole career, and it still doesn’t feel like enough time,” Ross said. “previous generations built something I get to carry forward; not rebuild, not fix, but to carry forward. There’s a difference, and I don’t take it lightly.”
“I’ve been with Sprague since 1981,” Alfie said. “Watching Ross take this seat isn’t bittersweet. It’s the whole point.”
The timing is intentional. As Sprague celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2026, the fourth generation has officially taken the reins of leadership. Ross Treleven serves as Chairman, CEO and President; Angela Treleven is Chief Financial Officer; AJ Treleven, ACE, is Executive Vice President; and Paul Treleven leads the company’s sales organization as Vice President of Sales.
“This promotion comes as no surprise,” said Paul Treleven, Ross’s brother and VP of Sales. “Ross was not only born for this role but has earned this position through years of hard work and dedication.”
Sprague marks its centennial later this year. Four generations in, the family is still showing up to work.
